Hello!
We are Kaliya and Kiana!
We are two Seniors at Carlmont High School who are passionate about education. We partnered with Freely in Hope to help restore dignity within survivors of sexual violence in Africa. Through holistic education, we hope to better prepare them for their futures. Our non-profit organization "K and K Candles" hopes to raise at least $2,000 dollars in proceeds to prevent sexual violence and give these girls a proper education. The money raised will be used to fund a program called "Keep the Lights On." With this money, Freely in Hope will develop a Community Center in Nairobi, Africa for new educational technology.
To help bring awareness to sexual violence and give all girls a chance in life, we have developed themed holiday candles that we will be selling every month. These candles won't only light up your room, but will also light up the lives of the 4.5 million women who are victims of sexual exploitation in Africa.
